Benzie Central High School

The Huskies are 7-10 after splitting a doubleheader with Brethren on May 5. Benzie Central lost 14-9 in the first game before winning 9-2 in the nightcap. In the opener, Matthew Ockert collected two hits and two RBIs. Jarred Smith added two hits, while Eli Jenkins and Michael Heinz each added one hit and one RBI. Lane Sanchez put up one hit to round out the offense. Carson Case gave up two earned runs on 12 hits with five strikeouts, while Ockert gave up no earned runs on one hit with two strikeouts. In the second game, Sanchez compiled two hits and five RBIs. Logan Osborne put up one hit and one RBI, while Dayne Gillison, Case and Smith each added one hit. Sanchez pitched a complete game, giving up one earned run on three hits with 12 strikeouts.
